We help people and organisations to transform and thrive

Who we are...

Who we are...

Lead Well is a consultancy specialising in leading complex change and creating thriving workplace cultures.

To this end, we draw on our years of expertise in organisational development, project and programme management, business architecture and analysis to support organisations to achieve their organisational outcomes while improving the wellbeing of the people who work there.

We’re based in Sheffield, but operate across the UK and Europe.

Our Values

Our Values

Authenticity

To get the best out of people, they need to be themselves.  We bring our whole selves to achieve outcomes for our clients, and we create spaces for others to do the same.

Courage

We are brave and encourage the same in others.  We know how to operate successfully in uncertainty, taking calculated risks and working outside our comfort zones when required.  We learn from our mistakes, we adapt and improve and we help our clients to do things differently, to maximise the positive impact we can achieve.

Trust

We create excellent working relationships, built on mutual trust and strong rapport, and using both discretion and challenge as appropriate.  We are open, honest and transparent in all that we do .  Our clients rely on us to deliver high standards, and trust us to lead them in the right direction.

Respect

We operate inclusively, actively diversifying our knowledge, culture and experiences.  We welcome constructive challenge and diverse views and are respectful of everyone, even if we don’t understand or agree with them.  We look to find common ground because we believe this is how we all move forwards.

Collaboration

We don’t compete; we collaborate.  We don’t sell a person, tool or a template; we use knowledge exchange, facilitation and coaching to deliver outcomes and embed our skills and experience with our clients’ established teams.  We draw on our extensive network to make sure our clients are working with the right people; even if ultimately that’s not us.

Impact

We operate only in the spaces that we know we can add value to, and create a tangible difference in the work we do.  We leave an organisation stronger than we found it and we celebrate our successes.

Hannah Boneham - Founder / Director

With over 16 years' experience leading complex organisational change in the public and voluntary sectors, Hannah has built a reputation for delivering measurable impact in high-pressured and diverse environments.

An experienced facilitator, Hannah is known for her boundless energy and enthusiasm particularly when working with groups to solve complex problems.  Hannah is also passionate about people enjoying what they do for a living, and is currently undertaking a PhD exploring the relationship between leader behaviours and wellbeing at work.

I started lead-well.org because I wanted to work in a range of organisational cultures to show how change can be an opportunity, not just a challenge.  Wherever I work, and whatever the problem we're trying to solve together, I want people to be able to take something positive from it; that is how culture changes and that change is embedded.

Growing up in Walsall, Hannah is the eldest (and shortest) of four sisters.  She moved to Sheffield for university 20 years ago and now lives in Burngreave with her fiancé and their two (perfect) cats.

Tina Keyworth - Associate Consultant

Tina's specialism is operational and organisational transformation. An experienced senior leader with over 30 years in the public and private sectors, there is almost no challenge Tina hasn't faced.  Drawing on exceptional business relationship management skills, Tina's ability to build effective relationships and partnerships at all levels has proven particularly valuable to her clients.

I love the diverse nature of business transformation and enjoy meeting new people, helping to understand their requirements and then deliver sustainable solutions that meet their business outcomes.

Adaptable and resilient, with proven skills in creating an effective working culture, Tina values equality and inclusion and recognises the creativity that working with diverse teams brings. Her strong communication skills have developed over many years working with a complex array of senior stakeholders including the Police Authority, local and central government and higher education.

I've lived in Sheffield for over 17 years and I'm married to a Yorkshire man.  We have two daughters, both at university and thoroughly enjoy visiting them in their university cities.  I love to travel and even get away without our daughters sometimes (one benefits of them being at university!).  When not working I enjoy dress-making, especially up-cycling of things I find at the many wonderful charity shops in Sheffield.

Susan Wright - Associate Consultant

Sue’s experience and excellence in managing people and change is exceptional.  With a long career in the public sector and experience of working in higher education, Sue has a wealth and breadth of knowledge and ideas to support effective change with an organisation.  Sue is experienced across a range of projects and programmes, which includes large-scale and high value change programmes, to meet required deliverables and outcomes.

Focused on the importance of impact and achieving results, Sue is dynamic and hard-working, and develops excellent relationships with clients.  With superb communication and stakeholder management skills, Sue recognises the value of collaboration and relationship building, and supporting the inclusion of all, across the wide range of contributors to change.

'Lead Well is an organisation with great ethics and a true commitment to achieving transformation through inclusion. So, I am delighted to be joining Lead Well as an Associate and looking forward to working with some wonderful people.’

Susan Hird - Associate Consultant and Coach

Susan is an executive coach and a senior public health specialist. She has over 25 years’ experience of working in a variety of NHS and government organisations including a year-long stint working for the World Health Organisation in Geneva, Switzerland.

Susan specialises in coaching leaders, managers and clinicians working in the NHS, government organisations and voluntary sector. Clients have commented on her warm, calm, friendly and professional manner, and her ability to help them make sense of their situation and take action towards their goals.

There is little that Susan hasn’t done in the world of public health! She has held senior leadership roles in public health intelligence, health care public health, and most recently the wider determinants of health. She’s valued for her ability to collaborate and innovate, communicate complex issues simply, challenge assumptions and translate vision into practice.

Working in line with my values is incredibly important to me as a coach and a public health specialist and I love that the Lead-Well values mirror my own. I’ve experienced some fantastic coaching, and believe it can be a powerful way of learning about yourself and making changes. I’m intrigued by the stories we tell ourselves, and the potential we all have to alter our storylines.

Susan lives in Wirksworth after a decade in Sheffield, having moved there from her native Scotland. She loves being in wild and remote spaces, and lays claim to being a highly mediocre fell runner, climber and off-road cyclist.

Pam Cotter - Executive Assistant

Pam is an experienced Executive Assistant, providing full administrative support to Lead Well, and without whom we simply couldn't function!

Pam enjoys the daily interfaces with clients and other stakeholders and is known for her efficient and friendly manner. Having worked in the public and private sectors, Pam's background in education, legal departments and governance brings rigour to her approach to progressing projects and supporting her clients.

I live in Cardiff and so provide support to Lead Well remotely. I have a demanding family/work life balance that three young children and full time working bring.  I thrive on this; I love to be busy - organising and planning, which I do both with my family and work!

I love working for Lead Well. The project and charity work are varied, interesting and eye opening.
